Installing AppLoad

Requirements

• curl (see installing curl)
• xovi and qt-resource-rebuilder v16-14112025+ (see installing xovi)
• be on version 3.22+ (see software version)

Note: it's called "AppLoad", not "AppLoader".

Setup variables

For rM1/2:

appload_arch=arm32

For Paper Pro/Move:

appload_arch=aarch64

Install AppLoad

Download AppLoad:

./curl -Lo appload.zip https://github.com/asivery/rm-appload/releases/download/v0.4.1/appload-$appload_arch.zip

Extract and install shims:

unzip -od /home/root/shims appload.zip && \
  rm appload.zip

Install the AppLoad extension:

mv /home/root/shims/appload.so /home/root/xovi/extensions.d/appload.so

Restart xovi

Next steps

An AppLoad option should appear in the sidebar (in "My files"). When you install/update/remove an app, press Reload (top-right corner). Click on an app to open, or long-press it to open as a floating window. To exit an app, swipe down about 1cm from the center-top of the screen (top as in where the screen ends and the bezel begins).
